  • Location: Gilužių k., Vilnius district, Lithuania
    Program: single family house
    Design phase: final design
    Size: 160 m2
    Year: 2016
Architects: Vaidas Bieliūnas, Laimis Valančiūnas, Vytas Buinevičius

Situated on a hilly terrain in the suburbs of Vilnius, the plot is rich with views and mature pine trees, which will be preserved. However, the south side happens to be on the street side making the dream of sunny private courtyard a rather complex task.

The house sets aside in the west of the plot from where the open panoramic views could be seen. The car port is designed and allocated to protect the privacy of the terrace from the street side while at the same time minimizing the shadow.

Ground floor plan. Total area: 123 m2. With large windows on 3 sides, the living space catches sunlight during the whole day.

Mezzanine of 34 m2 has sufficient light and space, which allows to have 2 extra rooms when the needs of the family require extra space.
